A Juneteenth Celebration

Legends Remembering Legends is a unique Juneteenth celebration of culture, dance, and music — hosted by   Mindful Twerking (MTW)   and rooted in the freedom, creativity, and resilience of Black communities worldwide. Set in the heart of Hollywood, this event brings together top-tier creatives to pay tribute to the trailblazers who shaped our culture, while creating new moments of connection and collective joy. Grounded in Afro-diasporic movement traditions, Legends Remembering Legends uplifts the global legacy of African rhythm and resistance through street performance, community gathering, and unapologetic expression.

Mindful Twerking (MTW) is a revolutionary dance and wellness experience that blends Afro-diasporic movement with trauma-informed mindfulness. Founded by Sharnelle Patterson, MTW transforms twerk into a tool for embodiment, confidence, and community healing. The method combines high-energy aerobic dance with evidence-based behavioral tactics, giving MTW a scientific foundation rooted in both physical fitness and emotional well-being. It’s not just a dance — it’s a movement grounded in liberation, body awareness, and joy.
