Artist Checkup is a two-day artist-development experience designed for independent artists who want to pause, evaluate their foundation, and move forward with greater clarity.
Day 1: focuses on artist identity, business language, and content strategy.
Day 2: gives local artists an opportunity to apply what they learned through guided content creation.
Virtual participation is available for the strategy portion. Local content-capture opportunities vary by city and production partner.
Artist Checkup is powered by collaboration. Each partner contributes a different layer of support to help independent artists move from strategy into intentional execution.
The Pass Da Mic framework provides the foundation. Local creative partners help bring the experience to life through community connection, content capture, production support, and editing.

Choose Your Artist Checkup Experience
Artist Checkup: A Pass Da Mic Weekend is offered through a community-supported registration model.
This means you may contribute more or less based on your current capacity and the way you would like to support the space. The suggested amounts reflect the value of the education, creative support, production time, and resources involved in making the weekend possible.
Day 1 is the foundation of the experience. Participation in the Day 1 Strategy Checkup is required before accessing any Day 2 experience.
To honor the time and resources involved, contributions below $25 provide access to the Day 1 Strategy Checkup only. Day 2 access begins at the $50 Virtual BTS Observer level or the $100 Local Artist Application level.
Those who are able to contribute above the suggested amount help support the continued growth of Artist Checkup and make future opportunities more accessible to independent artists.
